Our client is one of the UK's leading, largest and most innovative health and leisure centre operators. They are currently looking to recruit an assistant manager for their leading site in Preston.
More about your role
Our client is looking for a passionate and driven individual to join their management team. You will support the General Manager in the smooth day to day running of the leisure facility. You will support with the hiring and training of staff and directly line manage the team of employed fitness instructors/personal trainers. Flexibility within the role is essential and where necessary cover shifts including mornings, evenings, and weekends. You will assist in reviewing targets with the General Manager and help motivate all staff to achieve targets where required.
Overall, your role will ensure that the gym is; welcoming to all customers, all staff put customers first and that customers can achieve their personal fitness and wellbeing aims when attending the leisure facility.
More about you
You should possess a background within the leisure/fitness industry and have some experience, managing or supervising small teams. You should also have knowledge/experience of Personal training and managing a group exercise timetable as well as back office running of a site, this could include: and be used to reviewing performance against KPIs, understand basic financial performance and Net Promoter Scores.
