​Our client is a leading operator of exclusive hotels across the pictersque Lake District. They current have an exciting opportunity and are looking to recruit a Deputy General Manager for their hotel in Keswick.

The Role

We are looking for a hands on, motivated and ambitious Deputy Manager to join our clients team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience combined with a strong knowledge of all departments with a particular emphasis on Restaurant, Bar and Reception.

As a key member of the team, you will support the General Manager in delivering the business plan, ensuring that targets are met and that opportunities for up-selling and generating additional revenue are maximised. Great leadership and customer service skills are a must as you will be responsible for delivering events to the highest standard and creating a great guest experience in the process.

Roles and responsibilities include:

·Overseeing front of house operations in the bar and restaurant and reception

·Maintain exceptional levels of customer service

·Recruit, manage, train, and develop the team

·Assist with appraisals with team members under your responsibility

·Assist in setting departmental targets and objectives, wages, budgets, and policies and procedures

·Accountable for monthly stock takes

·Incentivise team members to maximize sales and revenue

·Deputise for the General Manager in their absence

·Comply with hotel security, fire regulations, food safety and all health and safety legislation

·Assist in all other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships

What we are looking for in you:

·Previous F&B Management

·Knowledge of reception, front office and reservations systems

·Knowledge of Financial Systems

·Committed to delivering high levels of customer service

·Positive attitude

·Good communication skills

·Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
