Our client is looking to recruit a Direct Sourcing Category Analyst, this is a hybrid role.
As a Direct Sourcing Category Analyst, you will be responsible for:
• Make sound & rational recommendations based on category management principles & analysis of in moment internal date
• Accurately report on category margin & highlight risks / opportunities to drive local sales forward
• Maintain and analyse effectiveness of Supplier Buying Investment Plans. Recommend opportunities or risks to promotional strategy on a period by period basis
• Assist in planning promotional activities and sales events for assigned categories through effective category analysis
• Create business presentations and sales proposals as needed
• Conduct post-promotion investigation to study the marketing impact to category and brand.
• Setup and maintain accurate product hierarchy record through in house systems
• Implement performance criteria for all Local products in order to allow range reviews to be run effectively
• Provide market led category analysis in order to facilitate macro & micro space changes
• Ensure lockdown of categories in line with range event calendar
• Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers
About You:
To be successful in this role you will need:
• Analytical or food retail background.
• Understands the impact of their actions and decisions on the profitability of the business
• Has experience of working towards maximising sales and profit
