​Our client is one of the UK's largest, progressive and innovative leisure centre operators.  They are currently looking to recruit a Duty Manager for their leading leisure facility based in Spalding.

This is an exciting opportunity in a community swimming pool based in Spalding, Lincolnshire comprising a 6 lane 25m swimming pool, leaner pool and a 3.5m diving pool.

This key role will report to the Contract Manager and the successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day operation of the centre including health and safety, customer care, financial procedures and leading and managing multiple departments when on duty. Working hours include evenings and weekends on a rota over 40 hours per week.

The postholder will take a lead role in developing and promoting an exciting and innovative leisure programme to increase the usage and profitability of the centre.

The Opportunity

  • We are looking for a full time Duty Manager who is ideally passionate about working in the leisure industry

  • The Duty Manager will be responsible for the day to day operation of the Centre including health and safety, customer service and financial procedures

  • Reporting to the Contract Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the operational team

  • A great opportunity to manage a  strong, enthusiastic team

  • This position requires a DBS disclosure.

The Person

  • It is essential that you have excellent communication skills and commitment to customer service.

  • The successful candidate should ideally have extensive knowledge of the leisure industry.

  • You will be required to work on a rotating shift pattern which includes early mornings, evenings and weekends.

  • A National Pool Lifeguard Qualification is essential.

  • Ideally you will have a Pool Plant Operators qualification and a recognised Leisure Management qualification

  • The post holder will manage a team, ensuring the sound operation and safety of staff and customers.
