​Our client runs ones of the most prestigous and exclusive hotel and golf club properties in Scotland. They are currently looking to recruit a Head of Food and Beverage to join their team at their site in Aberdeenshire.

Role Job Description

To lead and manage the estate wide food & beverage department to ensure the delivery of exceptional five-star customer services and experiences for members, guests and visitors.

This hands-on service and management role will coordinate and lead the food and beverage team across the resort. Focused on restaurant, bars and dining service standards across the estate, this position will lead the inter-departmental communications, planning and delivery.

This role is an on the floor appointment, leading and serving with the team on a daily basis.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Day-to-day management of all food and beverage services

Manage, train and lead the food & beverage teams 

Cross train resort service staff and other team members for the benefit of the wider operations 

Support head chef and the culinary team on menu development and implementation

Oversee and manage team rotas, time sheets, cost control and other measures

Work closely with department managers to optimise operational efficiencies and improve services

Oversee, implement, and review all SOPs to maximise revenues and ensure smooth service delivery

Maintain set-up standards for Grab & Go, residents dining, in-room dining and breakfast stations

Oversee and manage supplier agreements and stock

Manage all operational equipment, inventories and procurement

Develop and implementing appropriate staff training and upselling skills training 

Run all hospitality events and functions on property

Qualifying Criteria:

At least 3 years relevant management experience, ideally in a four or five-star environment

Demonstrable passion for customer service and delivering first-class guest experiences

Excellent communication and organisational skills

Proven ability to lead, train and manage a team

High standard of personal presentation and meticulous eye for detail

Ability to multitask and work in a busy, fast-paced, customer-facing environment

Positive and flexible approach to work including weekend and evening shifts
