Our client is the UK market leader in full service premium health, fitness and leisure solutions. They are currently looking to recruit a field based Maintenance Technician to overview their sites based across London and the South East.

Job Profile:

To fulfil operational field work and support the Lead Technician in the management and development of the maintenance department.

Job specific accountabilities:

•To ensure that all equipment is maintained and repaired to the highest standards in accordance with Company guidelines within scope of responsibility

•Monitor and manage site service schedule given at start of each month

•Attend to call-outs as when instructed and to the time phase imposed.

•Report to Lead Technician (LT) immediately before putting a machine out of order

•Report to LT immediately if parts are needed.

•Assistance in order parts/tools for LT

•Return all paperwork to Head Office and e-mail all photos to LT within 24hrs

•Immediately raise awareness of any customer dissatisfaction and report to LT.

•Ensure that van stock levels reflect need in the reduction non first time fixes and reduction in machine down time.

•Partake in all van stock audits in line with responsibilities and order of parts required

•Be familiar with the companies external policies and procedures including any relevant risk assessments and health & safety requirements.

•Carryout inspections to ensure that the corporate identity or quality of the group is not compromised – this could be on own work.

•Proactively cover technical and customer issues.

•Collate and create health and safety documents such as RAMS, periodically update and ensure engineers are following protocol.

Skill Requirements:

•To review all maintenance procedures and policies including work sheets, part ordering, training, van stock and tools with the Facilities Manager.

•To undertake service work in line with daily requirements as assigned. Order parts required where applicable

•Assist and supervise with installs and gym refurbishments

•Responsible for the support to maintain the levels of service expected by the company and customers.

•Remain a technical skill level that reflects current innovations and product launches from manufacturers which included, but are not limited to: Technogym, Life fitness, Octane, Startrac, Concept 2, Matrix Fitness and Cybex.

•An ambitious individual that is self-motivated with a positive and resilient outlook that is able to demonstrate analytical skill for continuous improvement and is willing to go that extra mile.

•Have a good level of commercial and customer awareness that is committed to success that puts the customer at the centre of the operation whilst ensuring good business practice.

•Be able to build technician team and handover responsibilities to competent members as the business grows.

•Read, understand and sign all method statements and risk assessments relating to the job.Sign to that effect.

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician with a minimum of 2 years practical experience within the field. Ideally we would like some experience of working with the leisure or fitness field within this capacity, however this is not essential and we will consider candidates from outside the industry and full training will be given. You must have a full and valid driving license for this position.
